Alhamdulillaah.

Charity during Ramadaan is better than charity at other times.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was the most generous of people and he was at his MOST GENEROUS DURING RAMADAAN. [Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6; Muslim,2308]

Sadaqa Train Dawah and Sadaqa Trips


•A trip to 3 prisons for fellowship & donations to inmates ...[Saturday 3rd June 2017]

•A visit to 3 children Homes for dawah & donations to the needy children/ orphans. .. [Saturday 10th June 2017]

•Hospital Visitations to inspire, encourage, donate & pray for the sick.

•Orphan Support project

~Cash donations to orphans/ widows

~Ramadan packages for orphans [50ghc per package] each include: 5Kilo Rice bag, oil, sugar, tea box, spaghetti etc, to help them also enjoy the Ramadan- fast in-shaa Allah.





•Iftaar Projects in selected communities

~koko and koosey package

~fruits, water, snacks etc.

•Zakaatul Fitr Project

Some scholars have also stated that righteous deeds are better when done at times of virtue, and undoubtedly the last ten nights of Ramadaan are better than any other nights, because Laylat al-Qadr is among them, which is better than a thousand months.

Nonetheless, What is prescribed for the Muslim is to give a great deal of charity THROUGHOUT RAMADAAN.

May Allah purify our intentions & strengthen us to do more for His sake till Jannah.

 Summary of today's Hospital Visitation (Fri-28th April 2017)
Alhamdulillaah. A touching day out at korle- bu teaching hospital.
We visited some maternity wards with Dr nuru.

■We met Pregnant women with complications.

■Women with their babies still needing extra-care.

■And women who had lost their babies before birth.

We heard Both sad and hopeful stories. We encouraged them, they were so happy & also prayed for us.

We shared some baby clothes, shoes and accessories donated to us and added some cash to offset some bills.

Alhamdulillaah. You can also reach out and touch lives.

May Allah make us among those about whom the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“Whoever visits a sick person or visits a brother in Islam, a caller cries out to him: ‘May you be happy, may your walking be blessed, and may you occupy a dignified position in Paradise” Saheeh al-Tirmizhi.


Hopefully we shall return to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for another visit in a week or two before the Ramadan projects in-shaa Allah.

Aside the social media campaigns calling for donations, we also engage in what we call:

''Market-Storms,''...

...where SadaQa Train volunteers visit sections of a selected market, talk to traders directly about our charity work and encourage them to donate.

Aside the face to face engagement, we also print out picture - flyers of some of our previous charity activities across the country and show it to our potential donors as proof of what we do.

The "Market Storm" has proven to be a successful method of fundraising as we get traders donating wholeheartedly, encouraging us to continue with the good work & also making duaa for us.


PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES
In 2016 we were able to visit one of the market areas in Nima, Accra. It was a wonderful experience.

MASJID STORM
We also did the 'Masjid-Storm,' in 2016, where a sadaqa member visited the Amen Scientific Hospital Masjid located close to Dome, Accra ... during a Jumu'ah salat (Friday prayer session) and solicited for funds with the help of Imam Idriss; it was also a successful fundraising experience. May Allah bless them all till Jannah.
