8th Zhul Hijjah 2016 Charity Trips

Saturday 3rd September 2016: marked the beginning of Zhul Hijjah 1437. AlhamduLiLlaah! Let's increase our khayraat [good deeds]: Quran Recitals, Fasting, Swadaqaat, Zikr, Nawwafil, Tahajjud, Dawah etc. Why? Because The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said,

“There is no deed that is better in the sight of Allah or more greatly rewarded than a good deed done in the (first) ten days of Al-Adha (ie. Zhul Hijjah) ...” (Bukhari)

Before And During Sadaqa train Trips

We usually do a reconnaissance trip before the real deal. So we try to meet up with imaams, opinion leaders or chiefs etc so that the community is prepared for our visit in-shaa Allah. We then start working towards the actual trip.

We run donation-led campaigns for the poor and needy in those communities. And oh, we sometimes iron and perfume some clothes to put them in the best of shapes. The focus of our community dawah is to encourage them to hold fast unto the deen. We also address and advise on pertinent issues the opinion leaders raised during our initial visit.

Our medical team organises medical screenings for the community and advise them on Islamic and healthy lifestyles. If we get stock.. the sisters also share hijaabs (veils & abaayas) to the womenfolk and teach them the importance of hijaab; both physically and attitudinally.

We try to do whatever can benefit the communities we visit according to available resources. We try to leave a lasting legacy there as sadaqatul jaariyah and we always wish to do more in-shaa Allah.

Our request

Good people, what are your progressive suggestions for us? And implementation ideas? Share with us, your ideas may be the next big thing to happen to volunteerism in Ghana. May it be a sadaqatu jaariya for us all.

Coming up in these blessed month of Zhul Hijjah 2016, we are doing "Disability-home trips"- We are travelling to 3 deprived places in 3 regions in Ghana In shaa Allah.
